We'd like to answer as many of your questions as possible
so that your visit with us will be as comfortable as possible. If we fail to
answer your questions in the list below, please feel free to email us at:
We have detailed directions available on this site. Just follow this link: Directions to Living Faith CC
You can park on Hurontario Street, hopefully reasonably close to the church entrance. Parking is free for two hours, so that should cover you for our regular services! Otherwise, there is a municipal parking lot behind the church on the corner of Pine Street and Second Street. You can walk the short alleyway between the banks back onto Hurontario, turn right and the church front door is right there.
Most of our regulars choose to dress casually, but please wear whatever you feel comfortable in!
You will be greeted at the doors by our friendly greeters or find people chatting in the lobby. They can provide information and direct you to the washrooms, kids church, nursery, etc. Our ushers will help you find a good seat. Once the service has started, they are always available to help you.
On Sunday mornings we run a full kids program. Our children join us for the first few songs right at the start of the service. Then they are dismissed by the pastor to their age-appropriate groups. The baby nursery is at the back of the main church with access from the foyer. There is a curtained window looking into the auditorium and this area is wired for sound so you can still enjoy the service while nursing. The toddlers' room is at the back of the facility. Please use the double doors located at the front of the auditorium, past the washrooms on the left and you will find the room, also on the left. Your children will be supervised in there for the remainder of the service. Our children's volunteers will only call you from the service in the case of emergency (anyone with a toddler will know what that means!) Please leave spare diapers and clothes with us. We provide juice and snacks (so please let us know if there are any allergies we need to know about). Then sit back and enjoy the service while your children play away! The children's church rooms are also through the front double doors, this time on the right-hand side. Here, your kids will enjoy a variety of games, activities and teaching tools to learn about Jesus, how to live a successful and victorious life, and how to share, encourage and relate to others. Children matter to us a great deal. Our facilities are clean and well-resourced. Our workers are caring, fun, safe, and most of all, love kids. It is so important that children learn about the saving grace of Jesus at a young age, as well as the foundation stones of faithfulness, kindness and respect. Together we can help your children, whatever their ages, learn, grow and have fun together! For further details follow this link: Kids Church, Toddlers & Nursery
You will find the washrooms through the double doors at the front of the main auditorium . The women's washroom is the first door on the left; the men's, the second.
The service will start with a few songs. Our music is upbeat and contemporary. The words will be on the big screen for you. If you don't know the songs, just relax and listen. Feel free to sing, clap, tap your feet - whatever you are comfortable with. Most people will stand during any music, but equally, feel free to sit if you wish. Following the music, there will be announcements and offering, and then the message. There are usually notes on the big screens to help you follow along, including the Bible verses quoted, etc. At the end of the service, there is usually a little more music and the chance for you to respond to what you have heard. We assure you that you will not made to feel embarrassed, asked to speak, made to come forward, etc. At one point you may be invited to shake hands and introduce yourselves to some of the people around you, but you'll find them all very friendly!
Most of our services last about an hour and a half.
It's family fellowship time. Please join us for free coffee and cake in the lobby straight after service. Please stay for a while afterwards to give the pastor a chance to get around and meet you. After all, church is all about people and relationships, and we would like to get to know you! |
